What is a usage limit reset?
Codex and Claude subscriptions both have rolling 5-hour and weekly usage limits. On top of that, the vendor occasionally clears everyone's usage manually and starts the clock over — usually after an incident, a bug fix, a new release, or a milestone. That manual clear-out is what this site tracks; it's a separate thing from the normal rolling window.
Where does this data come from?
From public posts by OpenAI Codex lead @thsottiaux, Anthropic's official @ClaudeDevs account, and members of the Claude Code team. A script checks these accounts every 20 minutes and records anything that announces a reset. Every row links to the original post.
How accurate is the ‘next reset’ estimate?
It's the median of the last 10 gaps between resets, added to the date of the most recent one. Neither vendor has committed to a fixed cadence, so treat it as a rough reference — long stretches with no reset at all are common.
When does Codex reset usage limits today — where do I check?
Look at the top of this page: each product shows time since the last reset, plus the date and source link of the most recent official announcement. If today's date isn't in the record, no global usage limit reset has been announced yet today. ChatGPT Plus and Pro users should check the Codex column too — it's the same underlying limit.
